On Wednesday January 6, 2020 U S President Donald J Trump sent a mob of his supporters marching to the Capitol building of the United States of America and they created havoc. Fueled by 4 years of lies and living in a world of alternative facts those goons broke windows, scaled walls and took over the Capitol building of the United States sending elected lawmakers running for cover while they were in the middle of conducting the people's business of accepting the results of the recent Presidential election.
In a scene resembling those from numerous coups and government overthrows around the world over hundred of years the American public watched as security forces were overrun by onrushing civilians, many of them wearing symbols of a defeated President. One woman was shot and killed inside the Capitol building and 3 others died of health related causes. Calls came from many to Trump to tell his supporters to end the siege and go home and that is where this goes off the rails.
These rampaging Trump supporters were filled with fuel from years of lies and misinformation. The match that sent them exploding into a rage was the often repeated and baseless claim that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump. Trump lost in the electoral college and popular vote by wide margins. The same people that helped create the Trump Matrix his supporters live in were then calling on him to call the dogs off that they helped to create. Individuals like Kellyanne Conway tweeted for the mob to stop. The first lady's chief of staff and former White House communications director Stephanie Grisham resigned. Former acting acting chief of staff and special envoy to Northern Ireland, Mick Mulvaney resigned. Sorry, with two weeks before Trump leaves office, it's too late to return to reality, sanity and the real world. Trump era deathbed conversions not allowed for those who were major architects of Trumpworld. Those who could stare straight into a television camera and lie to the American people and talk about alternate facts don't get a reprieve. The Trumptanic is sinking and those who helped steer it into an iceberg want to be first into a lifeboat, no dice wear that MAGA brand for life.
Social media companies suddenly got religion and locked Trump's accounts after death and destruction struck, where were you before? Multiple years of being Trump's unfiltered megaphone makes it too late to act like you give a damn about what he tweets or posts now, it's too late and no deathbed conversions for you. Weak in the knees news media, it's too late. After years of being too corporate and ratings hungry to call treasonous behavior for what it was, treasonous behavior, or traitors for what they were, traitors, now you are outraged, bullshit, no deathbed conversions for you.
Now for the largest group, complicit Republicans in and out of office. Many of you profited, won elections and advanced your personal interests while you knew Trumpworld was a load of crap, but now it blew up in your face and some of you want to back away slowly. No! Stay right where you were, no deathbed conversions, you are a Trumper for life.
The last group deserve a metal. Maybe your dear leader Trump will give you a metal of honor. Some in Trumpworld, including elected politicians, suggested the next day that the rioters that stormed the US Capital were not Trump loyalists, but were Antifa members posing as Trumpers so they would get the blame. No deathbed conversions needed for this group because they will go straight to Trumps hot Heaven.
