HOW THE TRUMP STOLE CHRISTMAS

Santa Claus

It was days before Christmas and all through the land
Everyone was cheery and lending each other a helping hand
Laser Christmas lights were shining on homes and spreading cheer
Only occasionally blinding aircraft pilots flying near
Christmas stockings were hanging and ornaments adorned trees
Waiting for presents that would be opened on Christmas day to shouts of glee
Santa Claus had his sleigh serviced and ready to go
To deliver gifts to those expecting and those who did not know
On Christmas Eve with his reindeer in rare form
Santa was having a glorious Christmas Eve night, even better than the norm
Santa landed on a rooftop and walked toward the chimney stack
When suddenly there was a brilliant light shining on his back
Santa turned and faced the beaming light
But, he could not see anything because it blinded his sight
Who goes there said the jolly old elf
Don’t move and identify yourself
Came the amplified reply from below
Your immigration papers to me you must show
Immigration papers! I’m Santa Claus out spreading cheer
Don’t you know that I do this every year!
I think I’ve heard of you, but that doesn’t make it right
For you to illegally cross our border every Christmas night
I don’t have immigration documents with me when I’m delivering toys
I bring cheer to all the good girls and boys
Yeah, I understand you say that is your goal
But, I’m Donald J. Trump and sending your ass back to the North Pole!
Santa was handcuffed and flown out of the country with the lowest of moral
While his sleigh and reindeer were impounded in a coral
Without gifts from Santa to open, Christmas morning landed like a felled tree with a thump
But, that was just the beginning of life under President Donald J. Trump

Don’t Make President Obama The Republican’s Garbage Man

The Presidential election is coming up in November. In October the jobless rate, the lowest in 44 months,  is back where it was when President Obama took the oath office. That means President Obama has cleaned up much of the prior damage done by Republicans, now they want to move back into the White House and tear things up again with the same behavior that destroyed everything the last time around. Don’t allow President Obama to be the Republican’s garbage man.

It is a tried and tested practice in business and politics for one group to destroy something and then get out of the way and hire someone else to clean it up while they point fingers from the sidelines. Once the turnaround artist has finished getting things back in order the old guard wants to take over again and claim credit for the good results that were created by the just disposed of fixit man.

What is taking place with Mitt Romney is not a new game, but event timing is not always in the control of those trying to replay this old scam. In 2008 the economy collapsed so quickly that it was not able to be pushed until Obama won the election and took office. It is a matter of record that the financial meltdown occurred under the Republican administration of President George W. Bush. Now it is also a matter of record that the unemployment rate is now back where it was when Bush left office under President Barack Obama.

Romney’s big claim is that things should be improving faster and that is a bold assertion from someone that wanted to allow the American automobile industry to go bankrupt. The Republicans knew that their brand was bankrupt and that is why we don’t see Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and the like at the top of the ticket. Romney was a functional selection and his primary opposition was near laughable. The one shot Republicans had was to embark on a four year campaign of obstruction, demonization and rooting for American economic failure to have a chance to win the Presidency in 2012.

It’s time for the shell game to end. One of the statements Romney made during his secretly recorded fundraiser speech was that the economy would improve when he became President without him having to do anything. Romney knows that President Obama has already set the United States economy on the right track and he just wants to be able to convince the voting public to put him in office so the looting of America can happen all over again.

This should be a new day when the person that did all of the heavy lifting to clean up years of damage to America is rewarded for his hard work instead of once again watching someone else accepting accolades for something he didn’t do. Unless we vote for substance we will allow President Obama to become the Republican’s garbage man.

Herman Cain Pulled On Superman’s Cape

Herman Cain

The sad lesson of Herman Cain’s run for President is that it shows what happens when the wrong person gains traction and threatens to rewrite the desired script. When Cain polled at 2%, he was entertaining and no one cared. When Cain vaulted to first place in the polls, speculation about his bubble bursting abounded; it didn’t, so it was punctured.

Herman Cain was not a member of the club, but he was like a Ferrari on the same track with mini vans during the Republican debates and voters were drawn to his direct style and strong personality. It didn’t seem to matter if his proposal made sense, but many of the proposals being presented by other candidates didn’t make sense either.

Herman Cain was not really prepared to be President, but who is. If we needed to be saved from Herman Cain when he was leading in the Presidential polls, then we needed to be saved from Herman Cain when he was at 2%. Cain had issues in his past that came out, but none of it was proven, but it was enough to send him packing.

The timing of the string of allegations becoming public was no coincidence, it was meant to eliminate a wild-card interloper before anything that counted took place. If Cain wants to find the source of the exhumation of the skeletons in his closet then he needs to check the fingerprints from the knife in his back against those of his Republican debate opponents.

I’m no supporter of Cain or his policies, but what happened to him will further insure that many qualified individuals outside of the current political system will shun seeking the Presidency of the United States. The next Republican debate will show that things have returned to normal as the stage will be filled with the usual cast of characters spewing sound bites, applause lines and anything else they think their desired audience wants to hear. Everyone on stage will be someone that either currently or has drawn a government paycheck as they proclaim to want to cut everyone's dependence on big government except their own.
